Thanks for the info. I also have spelling as Edmisten, Edmiston, Edmison, Edmonson, Edmisson. I also have Abraham Edmisson's father as James Edmisten, b. abt 1720 in Augusta County, VA and d.1792 in Wilkes County, NC. I also have James Edmisten's parents as Robert Edmiston, b. Augusta Co., VA, no birth date, who died abt 1750 and married to Jean (LNU).
