I am searching for any information on my 3rd great grandfather John Edler born abt 1834 in Germany (probably Mecklenburg), came to US sometime before 1857, eventually settled in Milwaukee, Wisconsin (living there in the 1860 census), and was married to Dorothea Neik (don't know if they were married before or after coming to US). All their children were born in Milwaukee Wisconsin.

married to: Dorothea Neik bef 1856
Dorothea Neik
born: 17 Sep 1834, Mecklenburg, Germany
died: 1 Aug 1879: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
2nd spouse: William Plehn
Children of John Edler and Dorothea were:
Maria Edler born abt 1857
Carolina Edler born abt 1859
John Edler born abt 1862
August Edler born abt 1863
Emma Bertha Sopie Lizzie Edler born 16 Jun 1864
Would be interested in any information about the Edler line in Mecklenburg, Germany as well as information about the immigration of Edlers from Germany to US and settling in the Wisconsin area. I have some old family photos that I would also love to share with any cousins. Anything would be most appreciated!
