Yes, he is referring to the Thomas Alva Edison. Last summer while going through the files at the Edison home in Milan, OH Larry Russell, the curator gave me a copy of an article claiming that Thomas Alva Edison was born in a town in Mexico. We both had a good laugh at it because it was totally undocumented and discredited by all the Edison data we have ever seen. I have a copy of it somewhere in my files which I could copy, but I hate to waste the time doing it. Perhaps I can abstract it when I have nothing better to do.

It would be a good article to send out for April Fools Day.
