Leo: I don't know if I can clear up this puzzle for you or not, but will give you the sketchy information I have re: your querie. Della Cameron Harrison was born in Port Burwell, Ont, Can. in 1862. She died 1907 in New Jersey. I am sorry that I do not know who her parents were but will check with my Mother this week to see if she can shed some light on this. Della did have a sister Francis (Aunt Frank) who married Sid McDermidt (Spelling?-could be McDermand) Aunt Frank and Uncle Sid were the parents of Margaret Davidson and Bes ?

Della Cameron married George Randolf Harrison. George, (known as George II) b 1862, died March 1907.

George and Della had three children, Newell Cameron Harrison b 1/18/1893 d 2/2/1966; Russell Cameron Steele Harrison b 3/28/1895 d 1967. (My grandfather) and Marabelle Cameron Harrison Backus b 6/17/1897 d ?

Russell Cameron Steele Harrison (The Steele I found in his handwriting in the front cover of an old school text) my grandfather, m Lida Mary (Molly) Chute of Aylmer, Ontario. They had three children, my father Dr. George Edward Harrison, b May 3, 1918; d 11/23/93; James Russell Harrison b 7/16/1920 and Donald C. Harrison, died as an infant.

Notes on Della Cameron, written by her daughter Marabelle. "Della Cameron Harrison born in Port Burwell, Ontario, Canada, came to West Orange New Jersey as a bride where her three children were born. After eight years they moved to Eagle Rock Ave., Roseland, now the home of Marabelle and Kenneth Harrison Backus. Her interests were the Woman's Club, the Roseland Presbyterian Church and her family. She was President of the 'Ladies Aid Society', was respected and loved by all who knew her." Hopefully some of this info will be of assistance. Should I come across the parents of Della, I will be sure to get in touch, either by e-mail or through this forum. Should you clear this up, please do let me know. Also, I too would love to know who her parents were. I have very sketchy info at best re: this link. Thanks for your interest! Ann
