I'm interested in 'the apparent' name sake of Philip Wortman Dowling, son of Dennis and Mary Edison Dowling ...
[George] Philip Wortman/Whatman was a Tory from PA and I descend from one of his brothers. I'm most interest in
anything about this family, and esp. what ever happened to their daughter Margaret mentioned in his will! I do have the marriage and burial information for Philip Wortman and his wife [Jane Purcell]. but curious how it came to be that Philip Wortman Dowling [son of Mary Edison and Dennis Dowling] was left behind in NS while the rest of the Dowling and Edison families moved to ON. Many questions .. wonder if anyone has the answers!
