I have James Baird married to Agnes Nicol. They had a son between 1806-1810 named John Baird,born in Inveresk, Midlothian (except one census shows he was born in Biggar, Lanarkshire). John Baird married Catherine Russell, from Denny, Stirlingshire, and they moved to Kilsyth about 1847. Supposedly before that time, they were in Kirkintilloch but I have been unable to confirm that through the 1841 census returns.
Catherine disappears from sight after 1881, and has no death record in Scotland, or the USA. John died in 1875 and is buried alone in Kilsyth. Their children, most if not all, came to the United States approx. 1883.
