Can anyone tell me how to find out more about the Fairley's of Edinburgh and possible links to this family?
So far my research into my family tree I have traced my Fairley family roots back to William Robson Fairley born 1818 in Newcastle, Northumberland. The following generations were also born in Newcastle - the sons following in the family tradition of cabinet makers.
My grandfather was also born in Newcastle but his sister, Eleanor, was born in Edinburgh in 1878 (Jew's ? Close, Causewayside) and his brother, Walter, in Edinburgh in 1879 (39 India Place).
