Ella,
There is something wrong. The McDonough Co.,Illinois Marriage Register "C" pg. 389 lists Joseph Edie & Ellen G. Bonham married on 7 May 1870.
Then records show his son William Joseph Edie born ca 1871. OK so far, then you show William Joseph Edie's son Monroe born 1879. That would make his father 8 years old.
