Frederick Edgson born 4/5/1840, child of James(1821) & Elizabeth(1826), married Charlotte Lott 26/06/1866 They had 3 children,Elizabeth Mary 1868, Frederick Thomas James 22/01/1870 and George Edward William b 1872 1871 census living at 18 Abraham Terrace, St Pancras also there is David Lott, Charlottes bro. 1881 census, Frederick is a boarder at 40 Uxbridge St Kensington(Omnibus Driver), Charlotte & George are living at 2 Buckingham Terrace , Kensington ( annuitant)and Frederick & Elizabeth are living/staying at 7 Platt St, St Pancras with grandfather James ( 1821) 1891 not found 1901 Frederick & Charlotte are living at 5 Mitre Terrace, Mitcham Rd, Tooting. Frederick is Timekeeper for General Omnibus Co. Charlotte dies at same address 11/11/1901 Frederick dies in 1907 Frederick Thomas James(1870) 1891 census living at Norah St, Bethnal Green, Wine Cellarman Frederick married Elizabeth Sophia Thurston, born 24/7/1869,marriage takes place in Hackney, 24/04/1885 Two children are born before the marriage: Frederick, registered as Thurston, 30/3/1891-1918, Herbert George 1894-1945. Arthur Robert 1899-1990, Ivy Ada 1901-1987, Violet Elsie 1907-2003,Edward George 1910-1991 Frederick Thomas James dies in Croydon 1949 and his wife Elizabeth 1953 The family lived in and around Croydon from about1910's A sad footnote, Frederick( 1891) was born a few days before the 1891 census in the Infirmary of the Baker's Row Workhouse in Whitechapel and is described at 6 days old as a 'Pauper Inmate'and he dies of wounds in France 13/4/1918( CWGC) Notify Administrator about this message?
