Dear Jim,

The John Edgeworth you posted about is my great great grandfather. We think his birthdate is about 1794 but have no proof. The date of death that you mention matches the one I have for him as well as the place.

He was married to a woman named Hannah, and I think her maiden name was Freeman. I have a photograph of their twelve sons, one of whom was my great grandfather, John Fletcher Edgeworth.
I only know the names of three of the brothers and no one here knows the names of the others. My dad has a letter written in 1862 by John to these three sons who were living in Illinois at the time.

I'm new to this forum and don't know how it all works. Is your family tree available for the public to view or are you keeping it private?
