Greetings Liz,

This is in response to your message of many moons ago about Thomas Jackson Edgar, and the picture of the ferryman at Rockliffe. I have eventually tracked down the book at the British Library in London.
The photo shows a man in a boat on page 109 with a group of young ladies, but it does not give a name only a date, 1928. I was wondering where you actually saw the name, as my records show that he died in 1904!
Can you throw any further light on this?
