Sandy, I believe we have corresponded before but I was caught by the Arch Paul name. He and my grandmother, Rebecca Dee Clark Smith were 2nd cousins. His grandfather and her grandmother, Rebecca were siblings. Rebecca Edgeman, b. 20 November 1816, TN - d. 10 February 1886, TN, first married John A. Clark, son of James Harvey/Henry Clark and Nancy McCampbell, and second, Archibald Duncan Paul, b. 1799 - d. 1864. Rebecca, Arch, and Cynthia Breeding, Arch's first wife, are all buried next to one another in the Friendship Baptist Cemetery near Spring City, Rhea County, Tennessee. I have photos of headstones for anyone interested.
I just thought it was interesting that a nephew would be so fond of an uncle by marriage as to name one of his sons after him. If you have any connection with living members of my family, I'd love to connect. Always interested in more information and willing to share.
