Steve,

Edgefield District was once also the 96th district. I haven't heard of it being a heavy influencw with Welsh settlers. You can find information on your Josiah Howell on the Morman Family Search site.

There were Josiah Howel, Sr. and Jr. and Jr. had a son named Josiah. Most all must have moved away you can hardly find a Howell in the area now.
