George Henry Edgecomb Augusta Maine

Hi everyone,

I have been told that my great Grandfather, George Henry Edgecomb, was born in Augusta, Maine, USA sometime in the late 1800's. He moved to South Africa, and married Elizabeth Weldon who was born 15/11/1875 in Port Elizabeth, South Africa. George died on 11/10/1932, and Elizabeth on 30/09/1937; both in Johannesburg, South Africa.

They had 6 children:
Fred Henry George Edgecomb, b. 15/12/1896;
Willard Matthew Edgecomb, b. 09/10/1898;
Patrick Herbert Edgecomb, b. 22/10/1900;
Lillian Elizabeth Edgecomb, b. 14/04/1908;
Theodore Horatio Edgecomb (my grandfather) b. 24/02/1913;
Adelaide Mary Edgecomb, b. 06/08/1915

I have known that the South African Edgecombs came from USA (and before that I think England), and I am very interested in finding a link here.

Can anyone help?
