I am searching for ancestors and so far have got back to my GGG Grandfather Richard Edge of Edge Farm (Edgecock Moss) Burscough Nr. Ormskirk Lancashire. He was born between 1776 and 1781. He married Martha (Heaton?) b 1786 -1791. They had six children living with them in 1841 - Robert (b1822/3 d1859) William (b1826 d1857?) Mathias (b 1828) Richard (b 1832)Roger (b1838) Stanley (b 1839).
Robert was my GG GF. He married Alice Heaton (b 1825) Daughter of Evan Heaton and Marjory Heaton of Moss Nook Burscough. Robert & Alice married on 3rd February 1845 in Ormskirk.
Robert & Alice had Richard (b 1847) Marjery (b 1848) (possibly Evan b 1850 d 1857) Mary (b1851) Martha (b 1854) Alice (b 1856) Robert (b 1859). When Robert Snr. died in 1859, Alice married James Mayor and the family went to live at "Mughouse Farm".
Robert Jnr. was my GGF. He married Mary Gray (b 1851 d 1934)Daughter of William Gray, on 21st October 1877 at Liverpool.
Their children included Ethel (b 1893 d 1966) who was my Grandmother.
Does this fit in with anybody's research ?
