The Edge Family from Cheshire England

There is a lot of information on the internet that shows a connection to the early Edge family of Maryland to a Thomas and Richard Edge from Cheshire, England. Does anyone doing research on the Edge family have a good source for this information?

1580 Rycharde EDGE. Born on 15 Mar 1580 in Eng.. , was christened 15 MAR 1579/80 in Great Barrow, Cheshire, England, England, and died BEF 1669 in Talbot, Maryland, USA. He was buried in ,Talbot, Maryland. Rycharde married Alice BUSHNELL, in Frodsham, Eng. Alice BUSHNELL. Born on 7 May 1579 in Frodsham, Eng., daughter of Thomas BUSHELL and Margaret HELSBIE, and died AFT 1625 in ? ? ? England. She was buried AFT 1625 in England. Richard was the son of Thomas Edge and Ellen Pycke.

The above information goes on to link this group of Edges with the Edge Family in Maryland and the Edge Family that were Quakers in PA. I have been looking at this information for a long time and it seems to me there is either a generation that has been skipped or two Edge families have been mixed together. I can't find a primary source for the Edge's that came to America. The Richard above, if he came to Maryland came when he was in his 80's and died about 4 years after arriving in this country. The Edge family that moved to PA are also shown to descend from the same family as Richard but are shown in different sources as being from Middlesex England.
If anyone has information regarding these Edges I would appreciate any help.
Donna Wright
