From The Baxter Bulletin, September 30, 1904: Died. John M. Edge, born July 23, 1845 in Fayette County, Ohio, died Sept. 25, 1904, aged 59 years, two months and two days after an illness of two weeks. He served with honor in the late war two years, and was marshal of the city in which he lived seven years. He came to Baxter County, Ark., in 1896 and settled four miles east of Mountain Home, where he had made his home until his death. He was a member of the Christian church from 1899 until his death and was a good citizen and willing at all times to assist any one in distress or any divine cause. Many will sadly miss him. He leaves five children to mourn his loss, two sons and three daughters, but watch dear father in your bright home for us, we are coming bye and bye. He was laid at rest in the Oakland cemetery, Sept. 26, 1904, a large attendance of friends were present. Services were conducted by Rev. Jacob Skiver. Notify Administrator about this message?
