I know this is in response to an old entry on this forum, but if David Fielder is still out there please reply.I am searching for an elusive Edge in the Calcutta area,an Arthur H. Edge(in the army) who married the daughter of a French Diplomat in Calcutta in 1940.
The couple had three children in India but I cannot find any record in the army births for these three which is a mystery.His rank is also a mystery but one story is that he was a captain.There are conflicting stories about the fate of Athur H. Edge,one is that he died on passage home to england and the fact that Capt. Victor Alexander Edge also died on returning home and that he was in Calcutta too caught my attention.
