I noticed that Robert Edgar baptised 11-4-1824 at Swinton is the son of William and Isabel that you mentioned. I see on an earlier message that my Elspeth could be the daughter of William Edgar and Agnes Quarrie. It is possible as she named her children Alexander, Ann, Agnes and Jean.
