Janice, I don't know if this is the Paul EDGAR you are searching for or not.But check with Bob EDGAR, son of Paul EDGAR the owner & operator of "Old Trail Town" in Cody, Wyoming. There is a web site also, but don't have the URL on it handy, (I'll look for it.)I have a copy of a poem written by Paul EDGAR and dedicated to my Great Uncle George Washington BROWN, 1878 - 1972
THE STAGE DRIVER
The Old Timer strolled down the street,
Seemed to be looking here and there.
No acquaintance does he meet,
Now it's stranger everywhere.
Wasn't it only yesterday
That all his friends were here?
The lonesome wind begins to say,
"Remember, that was yesteryear!"
He walks alone upon the street,
And keeps shaking his weary head.
Few old friends he'll ever meet
Because most of them are dead.
Yet in memory he lives again
Those days of the long ago,
Driving the stage thru snow and rain
Over the trails that he did know.
Red Lodge and Old Meeteetse Town.
And stage stops along the way
Would beckon him at sundown
To Rest his horses and stay.
Many a moon has come and gone
Since his "Old Stage" carried the mail
As long as his thoughts linger on
It's never the End of the Trail.
Paul Edgar
Dedicated to George Brown who is now 90 years of age and living in Cody. Former Stage Driver, Government Trapper and Range Deputy Sheriff.
(NOTE:George Washington BROWN was 90 years old in 1968 and he died April 1972 in Cody, Wyoming)
Good Luck and Happy Hunting
