I have a family sheet for William Coner Edgar which provides quite a bit of information on his children. It also provides information of William's military record and provides the name of William's father as John Edgar, Sr.
This sheet also provides the name of Permela Jane Ewing's parents as John Ewing and Martha (?).
I have not independently confirmed this material. You will find that there are several John Edgars to choose from when doing your research. I am currently stuck on my line which is John Edgar b. 1758 near Trenton, NJ.
At least one researcher I have found believed William Coner and John (born near Trenton in 1858) to be brothers. I have thus far been unable to prove this.
