I would like to compare more notes with you. This may not help but it is a lead. My Edgar ancestors were among the original settlers of Ray County, Missouri. Carroll County is located contiguous to Ray County and was formed from Ray County sometime around the Civil War.

My Edgar line extends from John Edgar b. 2/14/1758 near Trenton, NJ. He was a patriot in the revolution. After his elistment he migrated from PA to NC IN 1780.

He married Elizabeth Cummins in Rowan County, NC in 1780. In 1788 he migrated to Barren County, Kentucky. The first 5 of his
children were born in NC.

I have been succesful in tracking this family and its various branches, except for his fifth child - William Thomas Edgar b. 3/13/1788 in Iredell County, NC.

The last son of John Edgar and Elizabeth Cummins migrated to Ray County, Missouri in about 1840 and was an original settler there.

I hope you can do something with this.

Roger Edgar
