Hello, I am looking for the SIBLINGS of my great, great grandfather, SAMUEL EDGAR, who was b. January 18, 1814 at Presbyterian Boardmills, County Down. SAMUEL is listed on familysearch.org as MALE, son of JOHN EDGAR and MARGARET HARVEY. I believe SAMUEL EDGAR was JOHN & MARGARET EDGAR's 2nd child. There is an entry on familysearch.org that seems to be SAMUEL'S sibling - a MALE b. August, 1823 to JOHN EDGAR and "HERVY" at Boardmills. There is another entry -a JOHN EDGAR b. July 18, 1816 to a JOHN EDGAR, NO MOTHER listed, at Boardmills - a POSSIBLE sibling to SAMUEL? SAMUEL's parents JOHN EDGAR and MARGARET HARVEY were probably married at Presbyterian Boardmills about 1811? - not sure of date. JOHN EDGAR's parents could have been JAMES EDGAR and MARY MOSSGROVE as there is a JOHN EDGAR b. Aug. 20, 1789 at Boardmills that would fit the timeframe? SAMUEL EDGAR married MARGARET MCKEE about 1842?...do not know the date - probably at Presbyterian Boardmillls as their first child Robert Edgar was bap. their on August 5, 1843. MARGARET MCKEE'S parents were ROBERT MCKEE and MARY CARSON. Children of SAMUEL and Margaret were ROBERT (1843-died as child), MARGARET HARVEY (1845-1919), ROBERT MCKEE (1848-1931), MARY JANE (1852-1926), WILLIAM JOHN(1855-died b/f 1860) and AGNES(1858-died b/f 1860). The family left for Canada on Nov. 27, 1860 via Liverpool and New York on the "City of Baltimore" ship and settled north of Peterborough, Ontario, Canada, near Apsley. SAMUEL EDGAR was a STONEMASON. According to senior relatives, SAMUEL EDGAR had two brothers who left Ireland. One settled in the Hamilton-Wentworth area of Ontario and the other went to Pennsylvania. Any help on my family would be so appreciated! Thank you. Notify Administrator about this message?
