Mark, sorry I know nothing about William Edgar, unless he's one of my illusive Edgars. A number of them were named William. But I would like to know more about your man. I had relatives who moved from Alabama to Texas in the mid to late 1800s. I realize your William may not have been a native of Texas - but again, he may have been. At any rate, I would love to correspond with you about the Edgars. I've been researching them for a number of years and am stuck at 1803. I'm always looking for a new angle!
