I am looking for information on my great grandfather, Hans Frederick Edgard.
According to the obit his last name is spelled Edgard and was born 21 may 1876 in Denmark. Came to America in 1883 and to the Rock Island, IL community in 1901. It also mentions that he has 2 nephews and 3 neices, beside his 2 dau. and 1 grandson.
According to the 1900 Federal US Census, Clinton County, Iowa: Ida Edgar was the head of family, Hans (son), and Hilda (dau-in-law).
Edgar, Ida Head, Aug 1849 age 50 b. Sweden
Hans, son may 1876 age 24 b. Denmark
Hilda, dau in law feb 1881 age 19 b. sweden
According to a picture I have he had a sister named Tilly.
Hilda's maiden name was Lindquist.
If any one can help I would appreciate it.
