Do you know anything about where he lived after his third marriage in 1872? Also, do you know his daughters names, ages, and to whom they were married? What are the chances he was injured or otherwise became ill and went to live with a daughter who had married into a family with connections to the Edgar family cemetery, maybe living in DeWitt County? Maybe one of his daughters married one of the Edgar boys and George was staying with them when he died. Also, as you know there were numerous Bells shown in the 1880 and 1900 census listings for DeWitt county. Could one of those have been related to him (brother, son, or nephew)? If so, maybe he was staying with them at the time of his death? Was he shown on the DeWitt county tax rolls in 1895-1897? Too bad we don't have an 1890 census listing.
