Eden in (Edenton) Durham, England
Posted this message under Eddins also.Just returned from England, visited Durham County Records office. All listings for names sounding like Eddins, Eddens, Eddings, and about ten other spellings are listed under EDEN.Has anyone else been able to look into this further?I only spent a half-day.There is no record of a place called Edenton, it could be part of Walsingham or maybe part of Billingham. It also listed a William Eddings, son of Robert Edens born 1670 in Edenton. Then Robert Eden, son of william Eden christened on Oct. 20, 1616.Then, just to be confusing it also listed a Mrs. Robert Eden as married in 1642 (no husband mentioned) and a Robert married in 1669!!!!
Help!
