Hey Tim,
I was just looking through old posts and saw this and cannot remember if I ever answered you or not. Here is an excerpt from my Edelen info in which it mentions a son named Richard who had a daughter named Mary and also a grandson named Richard who had a daughter named Mary Anne Edelen. I hope the following is of some help or interet to you (the last child of Richard and Eliz. Edelen, Christopher, is my ancestor):
V. RICHARD EDELEN, GENT., B. 1635 in Middlesex, England--D. 1694
-M-(married 10/29/1663 in London, England)
ELIZEBETH BANTON, B. ABT. 1639 in England--D. in St. Mary's Co., Md.. She was daughter of Lord Pannewell of England. They were married 10/29/1663) in St. Peter's Church at Paul's Wharf, London, England. Immigrated to America in 1664. They were at least in Maryland by Febuary, 1664/65 according to the following document signed by Richard Edelen:

"I, Richard Edelen, do from me and my heirs assign and make over unto Daniel Jenifer and his heirs all my full rights, title, and interest of mine and Elizebeth my wife's right to land for either of our transportation unto this Province a Witness my hand this ninth day of Febuary, one thousand six hundred and sixty-four".
(signed with his signiture) Richard Edelen
Witness by:
Edward Savage".

In 1665 he declared his intentions of returning to England before a session of the Provincial Court. All indications point to the fact that his wife Elizebeth accompanied him and there their first son was, Phillip, was born. He returned to the Province before the
spring of 1669, at which time he established headrights for his wife and son:

"5 May, 1669, Richard Edelen proved rights to 100 acres of land for Elizebeth his wife and Philip his son, proved in common form.
(signed)John Blemfeld"

In 1670 Richard was appointed Deputy Surveyer of the Province by Baker Brooke, then Surveyer General. He eventually aquired a lot of land in what became Pr.Georges
County, and named it, which is our ancestral estate, "Dublin".
