Has anyone any info on Nathaniel Webster Eddy, known also as North West Eddy? He would be my Great Grandfather. My mother was the daughter of Elmer Eddy, one of Nathaniel's sons. Nathaniel was born approx. 1852 in Tennessee and died in Mena in 1937. His children were Laura, Bertha, Ola, Thelma, Elmer, Clint and Lon. While visiting Mena last week, we found his grave in Pine Crest Cemetary in Mena. There were other graves for Eddys in the Eddy plot. I believe that Nathaniel's father was Mitchell Eddy of Tennessee. I am interested in tracing back this family on my mother's side. My mother was Olive French Eddy. Her mother was Ova French Eddy. The French family and Elmer Eddy's family moved later to Columbus, Nebraska. My grandmother divorced Elmer and moved to California. He last lived in Ashdown and was married to Cruvella Eddy. He was a barber and had his own shop. I am also interested in knowing of any Cherokee indian heritage on the Eddy side.
