Hi,Tom, In response to your question, no, I'm probably not descended from Harvey and Lura. I'm desc.from John Eddy of Woodbridge 1679 and Elizabeth Edwards, then from their dtr. Meriam, 1708 who married an Elias Stillwell in NJ. I was hoping that some of their desc.had wandered off to New York and become connected to the Harvey bunch but it doesn't seem likely so far. If anyone knows of a connection between the New Jersey Eddys and the Herkimer,NY Eddys, I would certainly appreciate hearing of it.
When you out here for the 'reunion',did you get over to the Sierras to the Donner Pass Ranger Station which has a goodly collection of Donner Pass Tragedy stories, which included a William Eddy and family--Wm. was the only one of his family (wife and 2 kids)that survived the trip.
