We have a connection. William Henry Eddy who married Caroline Walters is the brother of Mary Ann Eddy who married John Hocking in 1862. I come down through the Hocking line, which at one point should be Eddy. For some unknown reason the children of William Eddy and Charlotte Hocking took their mothers surname and totally confused me.
