Thank you Bob, for your reply. I have found evidence to support John, William II and Theophilus, but have never found anything on Thomas Lovell or Nancy. Have you? Although I haven't personally seen the record, I have also found evidence to suggest that John patented land as early as about 1716, which led me to believe he might be the oldest. I also have a son Alexander for John, but have not found documentary evidence to support him. Have you?
John's son John who married Agness and their son Alexander is my line. I have also noticed that many researchers give John who married Nancy Blakely (sp? Is it Blakey?) as a son of William, but the names Alexander and Agness in their line suggest to me he belongs to my John. Do you have anything on him to prove anything one way or the other? One other question. I keep seeing researchers state that William II was a minister and have seen nothing in the records to support this. Was that something that also came from Hooker's 1979 article?
