More discoveries!!!

I finally found a Death Certificate for Matilda Eddington Tilley (MO 18725)and also for her husband William Gaston Tilley (listed as Tilly)(MO 19616-B-).

Matilda (born 23 Mar 1862) married William 17 Feb 1878 in Butler County, MO. Matilda died 26 May 1935 in Puxico, Stoddard County, MO. Matilda's Death Certificate lists her name as Matildia Tilley. I am sure the name is a misspelling based on the locals knowing her as "Aunt Tildia".

The Death Certificate clearly shows George W. Eddington as Matilda's father. This is the first time I have seen (with my own eyes) any such documentation.

I am still looking for documentation for George Eddington's marriage to Amy Angeline Williams (who married second, Shadrick Inman). And also for information on George's death.

The fact that both Sabina and Matilda were born in Iron County, MO during the Civil War is a strong indication that George Eddington was likely a Union soldier stationed at Fort Davidson (the site of the 1864 Battle of Pilot Knob).
