Mariah Goodwin, daughter of James Goodwin in 1850 Cheraw, married James Eddings (he married many times), who I believe was the father of Frank Eddings. (I'm doing this from memory. I'll check later for dates.) Their marriage is recorded in St. David's Vestry Minutes. Also, in that 1850 Cheraw, SC census, David Goodwin lived close to his brother James. David, James, and William Goodwin were brothers. This made David Goodwin (his age in all census documents this)Mariah's uncle, thereby, making him actually Frank's great uncle. Additionally, Samuel Goodwin, who was the son to William Goodwin, this is also documented in census records, was Mariah's younger cousin. I think he went to live in the household to learn a trade which was common among boys of that age during that time. I hope this helps. La Wanda Goodwin Maner
