Eddings Family Genealogy Forum
Jamie, I have looked for your Stark Marion Eddins (Eddings) on the 1910 census' of Georgia, Alabama, Florida, Missouri, Arkansas, Mississppi, Louisiana, and Texas under the names Eddings, Eddins, Edings, and Edins and havenot found him. Since he was born 1874 I also looked at the 1880 census and didnot find him. I checked the World War I draft registration for several states and didnot find him. I looked at the 1910 census' for all states for a Stark Marion, Stark, Marion, and S.M., and also didnot find him. I have also looked at the 1900 census and no luck. From various cenus reports and name spellings I have put together a list of all Eddings, Eddins, etc. by year born. During the period 1872-1876, I found no Stark.
Regarding him being a descendent of James Hosea, the only vague possibility was his son William Henry Eddins, who was born 1838 and was still living with parents on the 1870 census and not married. Since I wasnot able to find William Henry anywhere after that 1870 census, possibly he married in early 1870's and died before the 1880 census. Then his widow remarried, so on 1900 census Stark would be listed under another family (with his mother). Since I never found Stark listed on census' as a head of a household, possibly he died in the 1890's.
I know this doesnot help you, but Stark Marion doesnot appear any place, Good Luck. I remember looking for him a few years ago. Bob.
