Mathew Ector's trip to California

Cousin Margaret has discovered Matt disembarked the Ship Alabama at Chagres, Panama, which went between New Orleans and Chagres in February 1850. Then in November 1850, Matt and brother John disembarked the ship Bella del Mar from Chagres to New Orleans at New Orleans.

So now we're wondering if John went to California first and big brother Matt went later? Margaret it still digging for more information on that one.

We thought some of you out there might enjoy this little tidbit of family history.

Jan
