Still hoping to find a land grant for military services rendered. That area was under Virginia control at that time and he was from Virginia. I near that libary in Leeburg , VA the very county I think Jacob Eckman from, as its next door to where my Great Grandfather married. They have fantastic records for research for Virgina. That were I dug up all the stuff on Jacon Eckman, I copied everything in the Libary that had Eckman on it. I think they are likely the biggest researach libary for old records around as they have nothing bit records of old newpapers, land , you name it they have it.
