William Eckford - Camelon, Falkirk, Stirlingshire
William Eckford (b.1920 - d. 1943) was the son of William and Catherine Eckford, of Camelon, Falkirk, Stirlingshire.
As a soldier, Private 2nd Bn. Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders he died in WW2 building the notorious Burma-Siam railway and is buried in CHUNGKAI WAR CEMETERY, Thailand, Grave/Memorial Reference: 9. C. 15.
His mother Catherine m/s Gow was my great grandfather's sister.
Any descendants please get in touch. I've traced Catherine Gow's ancestors to the late 17th century and I'm happy to share this info with you.
