I am researching the Levi Eckerson family who is parent to my Lambert Eckerson. Another Eckerson researcher has placed Almyra in Levi's family, making her Lambert's brother. This researcher states that Levi's wife was named Hannah Cobb. My indicators are that she is Hannah Smith, based on Lambert's death record, and that the name Lambert (Lammert) was used in the Smith family of New York. (These are all colonial Dutch families.) Levi Eckerson can be found in Darlington, Lafayette Co, Wisconsin, in 1860; he died in 1868. Hannah died in 1873. He was in Pike, Wyoming County, NY in 1850, and prior was in Allegany and Ontario counties. (Ontario county once encompassed all of Western New York.) The 1850 census shows a name that looks like Armina, which I guess could be Almyra. Hope this helps.
