EMMA WILLIAMSON, daughter was John Whittaker WILLIAMSON and Alice SMETHURST, was born 1833 in Salford, Lancs. She, married GEORGE ECKERSLEY February 14, 1858 in Manchester Cathedral, Lancs. Wit. Mary A Williamson, Robert Greenhalgh. Son of GEORGE ECKERSLEY and SARAH, he was born 1837 in Lowton, Lancs. Occupation: Post Office Supervisor.

They appear on 1861 at 6 Park View, Broughton, and on the 1871 Census at 15 Rowland St. Salford.

Robert Williamson Eckersley, b. 1860, Broughton, Lancs.

John Harry Eckersley, b. June 4, 1862, Broughton, Lancs.

Sarah Alice Eckersley, b. June 1, 1864; died 1866

Alice Smethurst Eckersley, b. April 4, 1866, Broughton, Lancs. Married George Arthur WRAGG, 1891, in Prestwich, Lancs. He was born 1865 in Sheffield, Yorks.

Sarah Booth Eckersley, b. May 6, 1868, Broughton Lancs.

Hannah Eckersley, b. 1870, Salford, Lancs.

William Edward Eckersley, b.1873, Salford, Lancs.

When Emma died in 1879, George married her widowed sister Sarah FOULDS.

Alice Smethurst ECKERSLEY, together with siblibgs Sarah, Hannah & William Edward, are all together on the 1891 Census at Wynford St. Salford, Lancs.
