My great grandfather's letters also speak of an Indian massaqure involving the family. Gordon James Ecker was born of Casper W Ecker, who was born of John Ecker, who was born of Adam G Ecker. Adam and John went to Jefferson County, from the Mohawk Valley area. Gordon's older brother was born in German Flatts, I think. Gordon's letters also speak of living in Coopers Plains and the glove town, when young, after his mother died and they left Plessis. He was familier with Albany as well as Buffalo and was a fire fighter in Greensville. John settled in Campbell and his son Casper in Corning. Gordon's early memories of being back in the area of his father's birth and ancestory make me wonder whether they were visiting with relatives. We have not been able to find Adam G Ecker's father. If you can please help us, if we fit into your line somewhere. John's wife was Margaret Lodowick. - Thanks, Laudi C
