Actually, Ephraim was born in Adams Co., Pennsylvania and moved to Maryland with his parents in about 1850 - 1855. I have given a quotation below regarding his parents, George Eckenrode and Mary Kelly. This should get you on the right track. Thanks for his marriage info.
"Eckroth - Eckenroth - Eckenrode Family" William E. Kirkpatrick, 1987, Chris
Pelikan, Pg. 83-84.
"6. George Eckenrode-4 (John-3, Henry-2, John-1) - born 11 May 1803
baptized 17 July 1803, sponsors - Henry and Catherine Eckenrod (Conewago
Registers, 1942, page 74) George Ekenroth and John Faller were witnesses on 9
April 1826 at Marriage of John and Elizabeth (Hemler) Ekenroad. (Marriage
Records 1796-1883 of Conewago Chapel, John Timon Reily Historical Society,
1980, McSherrytown, Pa. 17344) George Eckenrode-4 married on 17 May 1831 Mary
Kelly, daughter of Patrick and Catharine (Kemp) Kelly at Conewago Chapel before
witnesses: Aloysius Eckenrode (his brother) and Elizabeth Brinkenroff (Conewago
Registers, 1980, page M-15). In the Woodstock Archives there is a record
listing George Eckenroh for "Pew number 1, Front Gallery" in Conewago Chapel
for the year 1827. ("Catholic Colonial Conewago", J.R. Keffer, page 184).
"In 1850, George-4 was living with his family in Mt. Pleasant Township,
Adams County, Pa. By 15 August 1854 they had moved to Frederick County,
Maryland where they are both buried in St. Anthony's Catholic cemetery,
Southwest of Emmitsburg, Maryland. George died 14 April 1882 aged 77 years, 10
months, 22 days (sic) (born 22 May 1804 - obviously erroneous) and Mary died 6
June 1893 aged 81 years, 4 months, 5 days (born 31 January 1812 which is
correct) ("Names in Stone", Jacob Holdcraft, 1966, Ann Arbor, Michigan, Page
Mary (Kelly) Eckenrode born 31 January 1812 of Patrick and Catharine
(Kemp) Kelly (Married 4 June 1811) was baptized 6 February 1812 with sponsors:
Francis and Margareta Marshal (Conewago Registers, 1980, page 88; Original Book
I, page 114; Conewago Registers, 1980, page M-30). Patrick Kelly died 29
September 1848 aged 70 years and Catharine (Kemp) Kelly died 14 November 1848
aged 65 years (Conewago Registers, 1980, page D-17)."
