Dorothy,

Wish I could help you but I do not have anything that would prove what you are looking for.

I assume you have a copy of the old Milnor Echols family history written in 1850. You probably also have the Echols Notes, Vol. 1 and Vol 2, by Rebecca Echols Terry of Huntsville Alabama. There are a few references to your Samuel M. Echols in them but nothing to link him back to Richard Echols that I can see. My line is John to Richard to James to Milner to Thomas J. to Robert Harper to Joseph Enoch to Mary Florence Echols. Our line left Georgia in 1869 and went to Sebastian County Arkansas then in the late 1880's to Eastland County Texas. I have a good bit of data on my line from Robert Harper Echols to Mary Florence but not a lot on the earlier Echols especially the other children.

Sorry but I will let you know if I run across anything that will help you.

James R. Rasco
