Shapleigh Echols born ca.1815 S.C. married Sarah Summerville 10 Mar. 1836 in Franklin Co. Ga. She was born ca. 1816 S.C. daughter of James and Joannah Summerville.They moved to Forsyth Co., Ga. by 1845, Paulding Co., Ga. by 1850, Polk Co., Ga. 1860, and Tallapoosa Co., Ala 1870-1880. Our library has no later Ala. census records. They had 11 children James W. , Joshua, Nancy who married John J. Evans, Robert H. who married Frances Evans, Sarah Ann, Mary Jane, Martha, Elizabeth who married Wiley H. Wood, Shapleigh Jr., Patrick and William. I have no information on this family after 1880 in Tallapoosa Co., Ala. Any information will be greatly appreciated.
