If you have an Echols who is in Caswell Co. NC, we are probably researching the same people. The only Echols that I have found there are from my family. Lucy Jackson Jones, a widow, married Obediah Echols, a son of Richard Echols and Catherine Evans, in Pittsylvania or Halifax Co. VA. Obediah died there in VA, leaving a number of children by his first wife, and by his second wife, Lucy. Lucy married William Rainey, and they are in Caswell Co. Two of Lucy's sons are in the deed records there with them, my Samuel, and his brother Phillip Jackson Echols. Could you possibly be from these families?
