John,
Years ago, back in the late 1950's, my father-in-law was acquainted with a Clarence Echols, who owned a houseboat at Possum Kingdom Lake. We went up there a couple of times with my in-laws and stayed for a week-end. Since Possum Kingdom is so close to Ft. Worth, I wonder if this could be the same Clarence Echols. At the time, I wasn't interested in family history and had never heard of Clarence Echols. We were given his name by an elderly cousin who was born in the early 1900's. My sister thinks that the name Zona rings a bell with her. Obviously, I need to do some digging on this.
