Looking for ancestors and decendants of William J. Echols who was married to Ida Mae Carter, an orphan. My grandfather, Vernon Vessie Echols was born April 20, 1893 in Big Springs, TX. He had many brothers and sisters. Brothers were Mangum, Essie, Jerome, Joe, Silas, Arthur and Albert. Sisters were Georgia, Willie, Ruby, and Lola. To our knowledge, all are deceased. Vernon married Armilda Elnora Cantrell of Euvalde, Tx. They had 11 children, seven of which survived childhood. My mother, Janie Ruth was the 4th child and 2nd daughter. Claudia Bell, Viola Mae and Rena Jean were her sisters. Sydne Lee, Charlie Bee and Robert Raymond were her brothers. Would love to communicate with any kin.
