Don't know any more about James Echols other than our
George C.Echols was in AL and had a sons named James,Samuel,Thomas Jefferson (ours) Mattie and Lizze were daughters.
George C. was first married to Sara and in 1840 m.Hannah in Chambers Co. Married Sara in Limestone Co.
Our Thomas Jefferson was b. 1854 in Holly Spgs. MS.

Would like to connect to someone who knows more about this line.
