Hi
Thanks so much for the information. John Echols, son of John Echols and Mary Cave, was born about 1698 in Va and died in 1750 in Beaufort co NC. He had sons Joses,Caleb,James and John Echools. The names you mentioned in the wills of the sons of John Echols were their sons and not their brothers. I am thinking that maybe I have been missing Jane echols born about 1779 possibly in NC by a generation meaning for example you have listed the sons of Joses Echols in his will. I was thinking maybe Jane might have been Jose's daughter and might have been the sister of the Echols listed in his will and his sons but if she was from that line (John Echols who died in 1750) I am thinking she might have been Joses Echol's son daughter and not the sister of Joses Echol's sons. In other words I was thinking Jane might have been John Echol's (died 1750) granddaughter but she might have been his greatgranddaughter.
I have seen the Stamps many times in my research. You are always trying to help me so tell me how I can help you. What information are you searching for that possibly if I find it in my research I can share with with you. Also, have you ever taken a DNA test and would it tell which Echlls line one descends from? Thanks,
Ross
