I am searching for info on an ECHOLS family that may haved lived close to the Jeremiah LINDSEY family during 1858 in Floyd Co. GA.My g-great grandmother (Mary Elizabeth LINDSEY RICHEY)was orphaned at 4 years old in 1858 by both her parents. Jeremiah LINDSEY fell from a 3-story mill to his death and the same day her mother Jane WHITE LINDSEY, died during childbirth , along with her child, leaving Elizabeth orphaned. From what I gather as of now, an ECHOLS family may have taken Elizabeth in and raised her. Please email me if you have any connections or need more info.
